Winter Colour

So when I woke up Monday I had a feeling I would be seeing snow outside. Sure enough it was all white and still snowing. You know when the ground turns all white and it's not dirty yet? It was pretty.

Outside, it was kind of cold, mostly because of the wind. I got a new winter coat a couple of weeks ago that is bright red and I have a fuzzy black scarf, apple green mits and a brown and orange and green hat. Yes, I am colourful this winter. But I felt like a big splash of light as I hurried to the streetcar. It was making me very happy. My coat really reflects my mood and how I am feeling these days. Which is good.

I think it's partly the change in season. Even if it's not changing to something I particularly like, there is something really recharging about it. Something like a new challenge, readapting to something I've done in the past, seeing if I can do it better this year. I feel like my life has changed so much in the past year, and in such a good way, it's almost exciting to see where it's going to take me now. Cheezie, but hey, we know I've always enjoyed a slice of fromage.
