...in Which the Move is Announced

So I am moving to Washington. To the capital of Amuuurica. And this seemed like a good excuse to start the Daily Weeg up again. Ideally such a move will provide me with lots of new material to blab about to my audience of, oh, 2. We'll see.

I guess if I am going to move to the U-S, I might as well move right into their midst. Where it all happens. Where Dubya, Dick and Rummy make all those wacky decisions and Condee tries to justify them to the rest of the world.



But this move is coming at a weird time. It's been a busy year at CBC. Work was going great at NWI until our unit got shut down in July. Then of course there was that little work stoppage known as the lock-out. Just when I got through that and re-established the dominionofseekay with some new shifts and jobs on a new unit in the snoozeroom, boom, Washington. And the fact that it's Al Jazeera and that will mean leaving the CBC relatively soon after getting there in the first place. It's funny, given how hard I worked to get into the Mother Corp in the first place and how friggin hard I've worked since I have been there that I would now be leaving. I mean, I left Montreal to move to Toronto for that place. But I think Jazzy is one of those opportunities that comes up in life that you just kind of have to go for and if you don't you will also regret not doing it and beat yourself up for being afraid. And given how much I prattle on about how much I lurve international news blah blah blah, I've just got to do it.


In the meantime it's five days before Christmas. Best get through that hurdle before the overanalysis and subsequent paralysis begins.
